Join the Richmond Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. for an exclusive early premier of “The Color Purple – A Bold New Take on the Beloved Classic.” Walk the purple carpet with us dressed in your favorite early 20th century attire as we step back in time to witness the trauma and triumphs of Celie, an African-American teenager in rural Georgia.
This movie is a musical adaptation of Alice Walker’s award winning novel about the life-long struggles of an African-American woman living in the south during the early 1900s. Starring Fantasia Barrino and Taraji P. Henson this movie is a must see event you don’t want to miss. Take advantage of this opportunity to see it two weeks before it’s released in the theaters on Christmas Day.
