Let people choose their level
Here's a quiet little leak in most events. One ticket. One price. Everybody pays the same.
Which sounds fair, until you realize some of your supporters would happily pay two or three times that to feel like a VIP, and you never gave them the chance. That's money walking right past the table.
Strategy Two fixes it: let people choose their own level of investment.
Think of it as a ladder. At the bottom, your General Admission ticket, affordable, easy, the door's open to everyone. That's your foundation.
Then, a step up: a VIP or Premium tier. And the trick here is to ask yourself, what makes this feel special? Reserved seating up front. Early entry. A cocktail hour before the doors open. A little swag bag. Even something as simple as "skip the line" check-in can feel like a gift. It doesn't have to cost you much. It has to make that person feel seen.
Add a Group or Table package, discounted pricing for a table of eight or ten who buy together. That drives bulk sales, and it does something even better: it gets people to bring their friends, their line sisters, their whole crew. More energy in the room, more reach for you.
And at the very top, a Patron tier, for your biggest champions, the ones who want to give beyond the price of a seat. Put their name in the program. Give them a shout from the stage. You will be genuinely surprised how many people step up when you simply offer them the chance to.
So, Strategy Two in a sentence: stop charging everyone the same. Build the ladder, and let people climb to the rung that feels right to them.
