JOIN US Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 9:00am – Noon for the Gamma Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. 2026 Domestic Violence Awareness Walk. Registration begins at 8:00am.

OUR CAUSE
Our 2026 Domestic Violence Awareness Walk will be an opportunity for the community to come together to raise awareness in the fight against domestic violence in our community. In partnership with YWCA Upper Lowlands, Inc. and The Midlands Fatherhood Coalition of Sumter, SC we invite you to support this cause by walking, jogging, running or being a sponsor today.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS
Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used by one partner to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner. Over their lifetime, 1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men experience severe physical violence by an intimate partner. The men of Gamma Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. would like to change those statistics. This can be done by bringing awareness and education to the community. The YWCA Upper Lowlands, Inc. will be onsite to provide resources available to serve survivors and victims who may be experiencing domestic abuse.
